Seattle Mariners vs Cleveland Guardians prediction — 2026-06-27 • First pitch: 7:10 PM ET
Odds-147
Confidence0.565 (data points: 22.385/28.61)
PitchingLogan Gilbert vs Slade Cecconi
VenueProgressive Field
Seattle is still the cleaner side because this projects as the kind of game the Mariners can win without needing a crooked number. Logan Gilbert gives them the steadier baseline on the mound, and when the price points toward a tighter, lower-scoring contest, Seattle’s ability to control innings and wait for one or two leverage swings becomes more appealing than laying trust at the wrong end of a coin-flip offense.
The Mariners do not need to look explosive for this pick to work. They took a 3-1 win in this series Friday, and even with their lineup still prone to quiet stretches, Gilbert’s strike-throwing profile gives Seattle a strong chance to keep the game on its script. A lineup tweak moving Dominic Canzone higher after his recent hot stretch also suggests Seattle is still searching for a little more thump at the top without changing its basic identity.
Cleveland has lived in too many one-run, one-bad-inning games, and that becomes a problem against a starter as stable as Gilbert. Slade Cecconi has been competitive lately, but the Guardians continue to ask their offense for precision more than volume, and that is a hard way to live against Seattle’s run prevention. If the Guardians do not cash in early traffic, this matchup can slip away from them in the middle innings.

Pick 2
San Francisco Giants over Atlanta Braves
WIN
San Francisco Giants vs Atlanta Braves prediction — 2026-06-27 • First pitch: 9:05 PM ET
San Francisco makes sense here because the matchup is built around starting-pitcher edge, game shape and price. Logan Webb at Oracle Park is the kind of foundation that lets the Giants win without needing a huge offensive night, and that matters in a game where the market is asking Atlanta to solve one of the National League’s best inning managers on the road.
The Braves did stop a four-game skid with Friday’s 3-1 win, but this still looks like a lineup trying to find consistent depth behind its headline names. Bryce Elder has also hit a rough patch, giving up hard contact in recent outings, which is dangerous in a park where San Francisco can pressure pitchers by extending at-bats and turning singles into innings. Atlanta can absolutely threaten the fence, but this is not the ideal setup for them to play from behind.
The Giants get the ball in the hands of their ace, and that is enough to tilt the handicap. Webb has been on a better run than his record suggests, and San Francisco usually plays sharper, cleaner baseball when he starts because the defensive workload is so manageable. In a game that should be defined by pace and efficiency more than fireworks, the home side has the sturdier path.

Pick 3
Los Angeles Dodgers over San Diego Padres
WIN
Los Angeles Dodgers vs San Diego Padres prediction — 2026-06-27 • First pitch: 8:40 PM ET
The number is rich, but the Dodgers still hold the stronger side because the matchup begins with Yoshinobu Yamamoto and extends into a deeper overall roster. Even after a flat opener in this series, Los Angeles still profiles as the team more capable of creating scoring chances in multiple ways, and that matters against a San Diego club that often needs its frontline pitching to keep games from getting loose.
The Dodgers were stifled in Friday’s 7-1 loss and went hitless with runners in scoring position, which should only keep this price from becoming even steeper. There is still enough reason to expect a cleaner response. Shohei Ohtani and Mookie Betts anchor a lineup that usually rebounds quickly, and Yamamoto is the kind of starter who can shorten the game by winning the first five innings on command rather than velocity alone.
San Diego carries real momentum after that opener, and the Padres did get a needed jolt from Ty France in the middle of the order. The problem for this matchup is that Kyle Hart has much less margin for error than Yamamoto, and the Padres still have to answer the Dodgers over nine innings, not just for one big swing. At Petco, that usually means the home club needs the better starter or the fresher bullpen edge, and neither case is especially strong here.

Confidence0.403 (data points: 16.973/24.198)
PitchingKyle Harrison vs David Peterson
VenueAmerican Family Field
Milwaukee is still the preferred side because the Brewers are better set up to win a medium-scoring game at home, and this price has not fully stripped the value from that path. Their roster construction gives them more ways to protect a lead, and the matchup also leans toward the club with the cleaner bullpen coverage behind the starter.
Chicago has enough left-handed talent to make this uncomfortable if David Peterson gets ahead in counts, but the Cubs are still chasing Milwaukee in the standings for a reason. They dropped a 6-2 game Friday before bouncing back Saturday, and the broader issue remains the same: this lineup can look dangerous for stretches without sustaining pressure all night. Against a first-place club, that inconsistency tends to get exposed.
The Brewers have already shown they can win this series with different scripts, and that flexibility is why they stay playable. Kyle Harrison has given them a strong run, and Milwaukee’s offense has been opportunistic rather than dependent on one bat carrying the load. At American Family Field, that balanced profile is enough to justify laying the side with the better full-game shape.

PitchingDylan Cease vs Cal Quantrill
VenueRogers Centre
Toronto remains the side because this matchup asks Texas to survive both a frontline strikeout arm and a difficult scoring environment on the road. Even if the price is not cheap, the Blue Jays still hold the cleaner route through the middle innings and the stronger chance of turning traffic into a multi-run frame.
The Rangers just took the series with a 7-4 win Saturday, and that does matter in the sense that they are not arriving flat. They also scratched together that win despite Jack Leiter’s absence and another bullpen-game style setup, which says something about their resilience. The concern is whether they can duplicate that against a higher-end starter without the same margin for deep counts and free baserunners.
Toronto gets back into a more natural script with Dylan Cease, whose swing-and-miss profile is the biggest separator in this matchup. The Blue Jays do not need to chase style points here; they need six strong innings, a couple of crooked-number opportunities and a calmer bullpen handoff. At home, against a Rangers staff that still feels patched together, that is a reasonable expectation.

PitchingJake Bennett vs Gerrit Cole
VenueFenway Park
Boston is the side because this series has started to look less like a rivalry coin flip and more like a matchup the Red Sox are controlling on rhythm. The price is modest, the home setting matters, and the Yankees have not shown enough sustained offense at Fenway to justify trusting them over a Red Sox club that has carried the sharper edge all weekend.
New York has dropped three straight in this series, and the lineup has looked thin for long stretches while key absences linger. Gerrit Cole is still the biggest individual weapon in the game, but the Yankees have not backed him with enough pressure or enough quality contact. When that happens at Fenway, every extra baserunner starts to feel heavier than usual.
Boston has gotten strong work from its young pitching, including Jake Bennett on Saturday, and the offense has not needed to be explosive to win this matchup. The Red Sox are stringing together cleaner innings, getting timely power and forcing the Yankees to play from behind. In a series where the home club keeps dictating the tone, staying with Boston makes sense.

PitchingAndre Pallante vs Ryan Gusto
VenueBusch Stadium
St. Louis is still the side because this line is asking whether Friday’s shutout loss should override the broader matchup, and it should not. The Cardinals have the more trustworthy home environment, a starter who usually keeps games from snowballing, and a cleaner chance to own the later innings if this stays close.
Miami looked sharp in the opener, getting seven strong innings from Max Meyer in a 4-0 win, but the Marlins are still a team that can drift when they do not grab an early lead. Ryan Gusto is the kind of starter who can compete if his fastball command shows up, yet St. Louis is usually patient enough to make a young arm work through stress. That is the sort of pressure this underdog profile does not always absorb well on the road.
Andre Pallante is not overpowering, but he often gives the Cardinals exactly what they need in games like this: ground balls, manageable pitch counts and a chance to hand off a live game. At Busch Stadium, St. Louis does not need a fireworks show to justify the pick. It just needs a steadier nine-inning structure than Miami, and that is still the better bet.

PitchingFramber Valdez vs Kai-Wei Teng
VenueComerica Park
Detroit is the side because this matchup is more about price discipline than name value. Framber Valdez gives Houston the best starter on the card, but the market has still left enough room for the Tigers because they are at home, they have been capable of turning these games into grindy, low-margin contests, and Houston has not consistently separated from middling opponents.
The Astros were blanked 8-0 here Friday, and while one game should not overrule the handicap, it did reinforce the concern that their lineup can flatten out when it does not get early damage. Houston’s recent stretch has been better overall, but too much of its path still depends on a few central bats carrying the load. If Valdez is merely good instead of dominant, that creates real vulnerability.
Detroit does not need Kai-Wei Teng to outpitch Valdez outright. It needs him to keep the game calm long enough for the Tigers to lean on home-field sequencing and a lineup that can manufacture pressure. Comerica is a forgiving place for that kind of plan, and as a short home favorite, Detroit only has to be the more complete team for one afternoon.

PitchingChase Burns vs Jared Jones
VenuePNC Park
Cincinnati is the side because the Reds bring more offensive volatility in a good way, which matters in a near-pick'em game. They can score in bursts, they can run, and they do not need a perfectly clean outing from the starter to justify backing them. That gives the road favorite profile a little more breathing room than the price suggests.
The Reds just came back to win 9-7 on Saturday, with Eugenio Suarez delivering the late swing, and that kind of escape win can matter for a young club. Chase Burns has flashed the sort of strikeout stuff that plays anywhere, even if the outing is not always smooth from first pitch to final out. Cincinnati’s lineup also got a boost earlier this week with Elly De La Cruz back from the injured list, which raises the ceiling of every scoring inning.
Pittsburgh has the arm talent to push back, especially if Jared Jones settles the game early, but the Pirates keep finding themselves in matchups where they need just a little more offense than they can reliably supply. That is especially true against a Reds team willing to turn one walk, one steal and one gap ball into two runs. In a game likely decided by pressure rather than polish, Cincinnati still looks better equipped.

PitchingJose Cabrera vs Cole Sulser
VenueTropicana Field
Arizona is worth the plus price because this is the kind of underdog spot where the better question is not who is safer, but who is more mispriced. The Diamondbacks have enough lineup length and enough offensive lift to make a modest road upset realistic, especially if the game stays tight long enough for one swing to decide it.
The Diamondbacks have already dropped the first two games of the series, including Saturday’s 4-2 loss, so this is not a momentum play. It is a buy-low spot. Arizona has still shown enough offensive quality over the larger sample to trust a bounce-back, and the visitors usually play better when they can put the game on the move rather than sit back for home runs.
Tampa Bay deserves respect at home, where the Rays have been difficult to pin down all season, and they got more power Saturday from Junior Caminero and Jonathan Aranda. Still, this price asks the home side to be meaningfully better than Arizona, and that is where the wager starts to stretch. In a dome game that should stay close, the Diamondbacks are live enough to justify the dog ticket.

Pick 11
Kansas City Royals over Chicago White Sox
LOSS
Kansas City Royals vs Chicago White Sox prediction — 2026-06-27 • First pitch: 4:10 PM ET
Kansas City is playable because the number gives the Royals room to win a game that should be decided by starting pitching and basic execution rather than sheer talent gap. Michael Wacha is the most stabilizing arm in this matchup, and underdog prices get interesting fast when the better starter is the one taking the plus sign.
The Royals have made life difficult on themselves, including another frustrating loss Saturday despite a strong Wacha outing, and that is the main risk in this ticket. The offense has stranded too much traffic and turned too many winnable innings into empty ones. But that also explains the price. If Kansas City is even average with runners on base, the shape of the game changes quickly.
Chicago has owned enough recent meetings to earn respect, and the White Sox do not need a huge edge to keep squeezing out these low-margin games. Davis Martin can also be effective when he gets chase early. The difference is that the White Sox are being priced like the sturdier side, and that feels aggressive against a veteran starter on the other bench. As an underdog, Kansas City is the more attractive bet.

Pick 12
Philadelphia Phillies over New York Mets
LOSS
Philadelphia Phillies vs New York Mets prediction — 2026-06-27 • First pitch: 4:10 PM ET
Philadelphia stays attractive at plus money because this is still a price play first and a talent call second. The Phillies do not need to be clearly better than the Mets to justify the ticket; they only need to be live more often than the market suggests, and their lineup quality keeps clearing that bar in a game that could swing on two innings rather than nine.
The Phillies did lose Saturday’s game 6-2 after an opener sequence got stretched, but that result does not automatically make them the wrong side here. Bryce Harper left the yard early in that one, and the larger point remains that Philadelphia can do damage quickly against a starter who is not fully settled. If they get the first punch, the plus-money case becomes much easier to defend.
The Mets finally snapped a seven-game skid and got Christian Scott back from the injured list, which gives the home side a clear lift. That also helps explain why the market has leaned this way. Still, New York is being priced off the best version of its bounce-back scenario, and that is where the value starts to flip. With two volatile pitching plans in play, the underdog side has enough offensive credibility to be worth backing.

PitchingMike Paredes vs Michael Lorenzen
VenueTarget Field
Minnesota is the side because the matchup asks Colorado to travel into a less forgiving run environment and beat the steadier home team without the luxury of Coors-style margin. The Twins do not need to dominate to justify the number. They just need to control the cleaner innings and avoid giving the Rockies the extra baserunners that can keep an underdog alive.
Colorado remains difficult to trust away from home, particularly with the lineup carrying less speed and range than usual while injuries linger in the outfield. The Rockies can still ambush mediocre pitching, but they are much less comfortable when they have to build rallies one quality plate appearance at a time. That tends to show up in parks like Target Field, where the game does not move as fast offensively.
Minnesota gets a favorable setting for Michael Lorenzen, whose job here is less about dominance than about limiting mistakes. The Twins also have the better chance to turn middle innings into a two-run separation, which is often all a home favorite needs against Colorado. With the Rockies outside their preferred scoring climate, the home side remains the more dependable call.

PitchingBrandon Young vs Foster Griffin
VenueOriole Park at Camden Yards
Baltimore is still the side because this matchup is better treated as a buy-back than a panic spot. The Orioles wasted a strong chance Saturday in a 4-3 extra-inning loss, but the underlying case for them at home against Washington remains intact: more offensive ceiling, a friendlier park and the better chance to seize the decisive inning late.
The Nationals deserve credit for taking advantage of Baltimore’s mistakes, and Luis Garcia Jr. was at the center of that win with four hits. Washington has also played above its weight on the road. The concern is that the lineup still depends on sequencing more than sustained thump, and that can be difficult to repeat if it does not get help from the other side’s defense.
Baltimore’s profile is messy, but it is not empty. Brandon Young generated plenty of whiffs Saturday, and the Orioles still have enough bats to punish ordinary pitching if they clean up the free outs. Against a Washington staff that does not usually miss a flood of bats, the home club has the more believable rebound path.

PitchingReid Detmers vs Jack Perkins
VenueAngel Stadium
The Angels remain the side because the market has moved this game close to even, and that makes the home team more interesting than intimidating. Los Angeles does not need to look like a finished product to justify backing here. It just needs to cash in its home split against an Athletics club that still leaks too much across a full nine innings.
The A's took the opener 9-3 and came in chasing a third straight win, so there is real short-term form on their side. Jack Perkins has also shown signs of settling in as a starter. The issue is that Oakland is still easier to trust for flashes than for full-game control, especially once the game gets handed from the starter to the bullpen.
The Angels are still without Mike Trout, but Reid Detmers gives them a left-handed look that can disrupt the Athletics if he gets ahead early. Los Angeles also tends to play its cleanest offensive baseball at home, where the lineup can pressure the middle innings without needing a home-run derby. In a price range this modest, the Angels are the side worth carrying.
